A.J.’s Concrete Pumping provided services for both the new 300,000 square foot A-B connector terminal as well seismic upgrades at the existing domestic terminal. Boom pump sizes 24-58 metres in reach were used in construction of the A-B connector. Q-deck slabs at the terminal required the use of boom pumps reaching into the steel structure and plugging in to the more than 300’ of slick-line needed to reach the pour area. Seismic upgrades at the existing domestic terminal presented several challenging pours as well, most requiring pumping through at least 300 feet of line with the longest run being over 650 feet.
Every boom pump in A.J.’s fleet is equipped with Putzmeister’s high-pressure, closed loop hydraulics pump kit, which provides higher output capacity on long line pours such as these.
